She debuted on 4 January 2017, coming on as a substitute at halftime against Paris Saint-Germain and netting the decisive goal in the 81st minute to secure a 2–1 win.

Return to Linköping

On 30 January 2019, Blackstenius returned to Sweden, signing a two-year contract with her former club Linköpings FC. She made her second debut in a 5–0 win over Växjö DFF in the Damallsvenskan.

BK Häcken

Blackstenius came back to Sweden on 30 January 2019, rejoining her former club Linköpings FC with a two-year contract. She played her second debut match in a 5–0 victory over Växjö DFF in the Damallsvenskan. BK Häcken transferred Blackstenius to Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC (later renamed BK Häcken) before the 2020 season started. She was shortlisted for the Ballon d’Or in November 2021. She left the club at the end of the 2021 season when her contract expired.

On 14 January 2022, Arsenal, a club in the English FA Women’s Super League, announced the signing of Blackstenius on a free transfer.

Youth Career

Blackstenius started her international career with Sweden’s under-17 team, where she shone in the 2013 UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship qualifiers. She netted three goals in a crushing 9–0 victory over Croatia on 30 October 2012.

She continued to impress with the under-19 squad, playing a key role at the 2015 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship. She scored an amazing 50 goals in 49 games for Sweden at various youth levels.
