Gabi Nunes is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a striker. She played for the Brazilian football clubs Centro Olimpico, Corinthians/Audax, and Corinthians, as well as the Spanish Madrid CFF and Levante UD, where is currently playing.
Gabriela Nunes da Silva, or better known as Gabi Nunes, was born on March 10, 1997, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She started in football as a kid and showed great skills and talent at the Olympic Centre. There she played for the base under-15, under-17 and the main team.
In 2015, she moved to Osasco Audax to play in the Campeonato Paulista de Futebol Feminino and became the tournament’s top scorer scoring 12 goals.
For the national championship at the end of 2015, Gabi Nunes returned to the Olympic Center and scored 14 goals in 12 matches, crowning the best scorer of the tournament.
The following year, she transferred to Corinthians to play in the national championship in 2016. As a striker, she scored 7 goals in 10 games, but her team was eliminated in the quarterfinals. Gabi Nunes won the Copa do Brasil in 2016, playing for Corinthians, with a goal scored in the final against Sao Jose. For the team she played 5 seasons, appearing in 115 matches and scoring 77 goals.
On the afternoon of September 1, 2021, Gabi Nunes announced transfer to the Spanish football club Madrid CFF.
She left Madrid CFF after two seasons. In both seasons she has achieved very good numbers with the team. In the 2021/2022 season, she scored 8 goals and provided five assists and in the last season she played, she scored 8 goals and distributed five assists.
On July 5, 2023, Gabi Nunes transferred to Levante UD. She signed a two-year contract, until June 2025.
Internationally Gabi Nunes represented the junior and senior Brazilian national teams. In 2013, she debuted for the Brazilian National Team, participating in the U-17 South American Championship. In November 2015, she played in the U-20 World Cup for the Brazilian national team and helped Brazil to win its seventh title in this competition, scoring 5 goals in 4 games, thus becoming vice top scorer in the competition. For this achievement, she received the FIFA silver boot from the hands of Marta, being the first Brazilian to win this award.
In the Summer of 2017, Gabi Nunes was included in the Brazil squad for the Tournament of Nations, starting in 2 of the 3 games. In 2021 Gabi Nunes joined the team for the 2021 Torneio Internacional de Manaus de Futebol Feminino. She started the second game of the tournament against Venezuela and scored her first international goal at the senior level.
