Cecelia Kizer is an American professional soccer player. She plays as a forward for the Kansas City Current of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). She is the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup winner with her former soccer club Houston Dash.
Cecelia Anne Kizer, also known as Cece Kizer, was born on August 7, 1997, in Overland Park, Kansas, United States. She played college soccer for Ole Miss Rebels from 2015 to 2018. During her college career, she proved to be one of the top scorers for Ole Miss Rebels. She was the all-time leader in career goals and points for the college team, finishing her career with 48 scores and 119 points, ranking ninth and tied for eighth in SEC history, respectively. She is also the Winner of the 2018 Senior CLASS Award.
Cecelia Kizer was drafted by Houston Dash in the 2nd round of the 2019 NWSL College Draft. She made her professional debut in 2019 for the club, where played for one season and has 16 appearances. She was part of the team of Houston Dash to win the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup.
For a short period, she played for the Norwegian club Kolbotn, but after a few matches returned to the USA.
She was selected by Racing Louisville in the 2020 NWSL Expansion Draft. Cecelia Kizer scored the first goal for Racing Louisville in the opening game of the Challenge Cup against the NWSL Orlando Pride on April 10, 2021, to give the team a 1–0 lead. Kizer scored seven goals and added three assists across all competitions in 2021.
Cecelia Kizer was traded along with Addisyn Merrick to the Kansas City Current on June 9, 2022. Currently, she is one of the top players and main scorers of Kansas City Current. With the team, she is the runner-up at the 2022 NWSL.
Cecelia Kizer was called up to the United States national under-23 team in August 2019.
